    The Self-Correcting Shift

    Static vs Dynamic SOPs

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are the backbone of consistency in hospitality. The problem is that traditional SOPs are static. They live in a dusty binder in the back office, or buried in a PDF on a training portal.

A static checklist is useful for opening and closing procedures, but it is utterly useless during a Saturday night rush. When a venue starts going down in flames, nobody has the time to go read the manual. The venue relies entirely on the experience and intuition of the managers on duty to diagnose the problem and bark orders to correct it.

    Contextual Dispatch

OPPI introduces the concept of Dynamic SOP Execution.

Instead of waiting for a human to realise a problem is occurring, OPPI monitors service metrics in real-time and autonomously dispatches targeted, contextual checklists directly to the relevant staff members' devices when a threshold is breached.

For example, OPPI's telemetry is constantly monitoring KDS (Kitchen Display System) ticket times. If the standard for entree delivery is 12 minutes, and OPPI detects that average ticket times have crept up to 18 minutes over a 30-minute window, it triggers a protocol.

    The Bottleneck Protocol

When the 18-minute threshold is breached, OPPI doesn't just send a generic "Kitchen is slow" alert. It executes the Bottleneck Protocol:

    1. It sends an alert to the Head Chef's display: "Ticket times at 18m. Recommend assigning one prep chef to the garnish station."
    2. It sends a dynamic checklist to the floor manager's tablet: "Kitchen delayed. Action required: 1. Comp table 12's drinks. 2. Pause seating walk-ins for 15m. 3. Direct servers to push cold-prep appetizers."
This is a self-correcting shift. The system diagnoses the operational failure in real-time, formulates the exact steps required to mitigate it based on the venue's customised playbooks, and distributes those steps to the exact people who need to execute them.

By turning static manuals into dynamic, context-aware interventions, OPPI ensures that best practices are followed exactly when they are needed most, rescuing shifts before they spiral out of control.
